Our founding vision and mission

Wendy and Nicole started Pathways 2 Independence because they believe every individual deserves the opportunity to live a meaningful, fulfilling life. Their passion for serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities comes from a deep commitment to helping others grow, thrive, and feel valued. They wanted to create a safe, supportive environment where individuals are encouraged to build independence, develop life skills, and form meaningful connections within their community. At the core of their program is compassion, respect, and the belief that every person matters. For Wendy and Nicole, this is more than a business—it’s a mission to empower individuals, support families, and make a positive difference in the lives of those they serve every day.
